Junovy Turns One

A year ago, on 1 October 2025, I sent my first invoices as Junovy. The idea had been around for a while before that: European cloud and website hosting for small businesses that don't want their data handed to big tech. But October is when it stopped being an idea and became a business people actually use.

Our mission hasn't changed since day one: less busy work, more business. Here's what that looked like in year one, and where we're going next.

• October 2025: the first clients move onto the Junovy platform
• February 2026: this blog goes live with From Tennessee to Amsterdam
• This year: Junovy Money, Junovy Bzz and the Juno AI Assistant go live, and BizDOM and OmniVisual launch

☁️ The everyday essentials

Every Junovy client gets one account that signs them into everything. No juggling logins, no separate subscriptions for each tool.

Junovy Cloud is where your files live. Store, sync and share documents from your laptop or phone, with calendars, contacts, tasks and project boards built in. It's built on Nextcloud, the open-source alternative to Google Drive and Dropbox.

Junovy Talk is how your team talks. Chat, voice and video calls, screen sharing and guest links for clients, all in one place and right next to your files. This year we moved all our messaging into Talk and put a lot of work into making calls reliable, so nobody drops out halfway through a client meeting.

Junovy Office lets you edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files straight in the browser, together with your team, in real time. No Microsoft licence needed.

All of it runs on servers in Europe, under GDPR, and your data is never sold or mined for advertising.

🚀 New this year

Junovy Money is bookkeeping built for small businesses. Invoices, expenses, budgets, bank imports and a clear VAT overview, without the complexity of an accountant's toolkit. I run my own business finances on it, which is the best test I know of.

Junovy Bzz gives you short links and link-in-bio pages at bzz.nu. Make a clean link for a flyer or a campaign, build a simple page that collects all your links in one place, and see how many people actually click. All hosted in the EU, with no tracking for advertisers.

The Juno AI Assistant helps with the everyday writing, images and audio transcription that eat up a small business owner's week. It's private by design: your documents and conversations stay with us, not with a big AI company.

Our tools also work with AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT, so you can ask an assistant to draft an invoice, file a document or set up a link page, and it works within your own account and permissions.

💼 Introducing BizDOM

Something I kept hearing from clients: "I don't just need new software. I need someone to help me sort out how my business actually runs."

That's why we launched BizDOM. It's our business administration and automation consultancy. We look at how your business runs day to day, find the repetitive admin that's eating your time, and automate or simplify it. Then we can keep the admin running for you, so you can focus on your clients.

BizDOM is a natural fit alongside Junovy: Junovy provides the tools, BizDOM makes sure they work for the way you work.

🎨 Two studios, two kinds of website

Not every business needs the same kind of website, so there are now two design studios under the Junovy roof.

Drake Design Studio is for businesses that want to look credible and clear. Well-built, well-designed websites and branding that make a practice or small company look as professional as it is, and that are easy to keep up to date.

OmniVisual is for projects that want to be remembered. It's our new multimedia studio, building interactive, art-directed websites around video, music and motion for artists, musicians, events and brands with something to launch. Every OmniVisual site is designed from scratch for that one project, and the visual album sites behind it are the portfolio.

🔭 What's coming next

Junovy Sites is a website editor in the spirit of Squarespace or Wix, but hosted in Europe and part of the same suite. Update your own website, add a page or change your opening hours without having to call a developer.

Junovy Meet is our own video conferencing, built in-house for client meetings, workshops and larger calls.

A CRM for managing clients and leads, and professional business email, are on the list too.

💶 One price for your whole team

Most software these days charges per user. Take on a new colleague, bring in a freelancer for a project or give your bookkeeper access, and the bill goes up every time.

Junovy works differently. You pay one flat monthly price for your plan, and your team is included. Adding a colleague doesn't change your invoice. Costs stay predictable, and nobody ends up sharing a login just to save money.

👥 Who Junovy is for

Junovy is built for people who are brilliant at what they do and would rather not spend their evenings on admin or trying to figure out why their website is broken because of a WordPress plugin. That usually means:
